History
In 1945, Marvin Heapy established a Mechanical-Electrical consulting engineering firm to serve the building design and construction industry.
Heapy Engineering has grown considerably since 1945 and is proud of the excellent reputation that has been earned in providing professional service to many clients. The fact that many of these clients repeatedly retain Heapy Engineering is a continuing testimony to this dedication to quality engineering.
Today, Heapy has over 155 employees with over 75 graduate engineers providing services throughout the United States and overseas. We bring a wide range of engineering talent to your project with our design staff possessing an overall average of 20 years of design experience. Heapy holds Professional Engineers (PE) Registration in over 40 states and over 50% of our design staff are LEED Accredited Professionals (LEED AP).
Heapy has offices in Dayton and Columbus, Ohio and in Lawrenceburg and Indianapolis, Indiana, providing Mechanical, Electrical and Technology Systems Design, Energy and LEED Services, Commissioning Services and Planning Services.
We consider the execution and delivery of all projects vitally important. Heapy Engineering is an ISO Certified firm (FS-98575). This involves a defined and audited Quality Management Process for continual improvement that confirms our commitment to maintaining the highest standards for project delivery and customer satisfaction.
Our engineering staff is functionally divided into client and market focused design teams. Each design team consists of a Manager and a balanced group of Plumbing, HVAC and Electrical Designers and BIM/CAD operators who work together on a continual basis.
This team concept has been invaluable in establishing a high level of coordination between the various engineering, architectural and other project partners and provides you with superior and personal service. We offer services to Owners, Architects, Government Agencies, Contractors, Developers and Engineers.
Depending on your needs, we provide complete plans and specifications for competitive bidding, fast-track or phased design, turn-key services, construction management projects, and design/build projects.
