Ranked 7th nationally for Building Commissioning by Consulting Specifying Engineering Magazine, Heapy Engineering’s Commissioning Services Department has had four members receive ASHRAE's Commissioning Process Management Professional (CPMP) Certification.

Recognizing the need to properly identify who are qualified building commissioning providers, ASHRAE launched their certification program for Commissioning Managers in June 2009. The program is to help identify individuals who are qualified to design, test, install and maintain building systems and equipment.
According to ASHRAE President Gordon Holness, "ASHRAE certification helps professionals demonstrate that they have mastered a certain body of knowledge and can provide outstanding services in their area of expertise."
