Heapy Engineering provides Mechanical-Electrical-Plumbing-Technology Systems design and Commissioning services for buildings and industrial process. We provide effective engineering solutions to meet the needs of architects, government agencies, building owners, contractors, developers and engineers.
Our continued successful growth and devotion to HVAC Commissioning has created a need for an additional customer-focused Commissioning professional. We are seeking a commissioning technician with a strong Service background who will be based out of our Indianapolis, Indiana office. Duties include commissioning and troubleshooting building HVAC systems, Control systems and Electrical systems. The Commissioning Technician must also be capable of technical writing for studies and pre-design deliverables, and the ability to plot pump and fan curves, as well as cost estimating support.

Qualifications and Duties:

Two-year Engineering Technical Associates degree or approved apprentice program.

Minimum of 10-years experience with HVAC and Direct Digital Control Systems troubleshooting.

Have working knowledge of large operational systems.

Have experience with energy analysis and strategy.

Must have 5 years working knowledge and understanding of the dynamics of construction management, primarily with HVAC systems.

A working knowledge of plumbing systems, fire suppression systems and electrical systems is also required.

Must be able to work independently or with a team as a representative of a leading design-engineering firm within the construction proces

Must be detail oriented (must provide reports

Must have excellent communication skills – both oral and written including the ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience

Must be able to travel within the region to meet project requirements. (Some overnight travel required).
