Energy Modeling

Our engineers use state-of-the-art building energy analysis simulation tools. They are experts in confirming compliance with the LEED Rating System’s Energy and Atmosphere Prerequisite for Minimum Energy Performance and in calculating the energy cost savings required under the Optimize Energy Performance Credit. We have performed Energy Models encompassing over millions of square feet of high performance buildings. These include several buildings that have been designed by Heapy Engineering to beat Energy Code (ASHRAE 90.1) by over 40 percent.

Heapy Engineering has performed hundreds of studies to determine the cost and return on investment of implementing sustainable design features such as energy efficient mechanical-electrical systems and building envelopes, daylighting strategies, control system strategies, etc.
