The Banks Parking Garage

The_BanksHeapy is providing the Mechanical-Electrical design for the new Banks Parking Garage in Cincinnati. The new parking garage will have a total of 1778 parking spaces.

Electrical design will include Power distribution including main electrical service and grounding, Parking deck, façade, stair and MEP space lighting, Emergency power including an emergency generator, telephone and data systems, Power and rough-ins for both parking access control equipment and security systems.

Mechanical design will include garage ventilation and HVAC systems for enclosed spaces.

Plumbing design will include Underground sanitary piping with wyes to above 489 level for overbuild, Underground storm piping with wyes to above 489 level for overbuild, Storm and sanitary piping floor decks and drains and domestic water distribution for garage wash down system and any other associated water requirements.

Fire Protection design will include Sprinklers (dry pipe system) and fire pump, Standpipes and Fire alarm system with possible connection to existing system if necessary.

The Banks is a development that will create a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week diverse, pedestrian-friendly urban neighborhood with a mix of uses consisting of residential housing, specialty retail, restaurants, entertainment, office, boutique hotel space, public green space and parking. Located on the Ohio River, The Banks will become the focal point of the Greater Cincinnati Region.

The estimated completion date for the parking garage is 2010 with an estimated total construction cost of $37,605,152 and an estimated MEP construction cost of $5,942,842.
