The Ohio State University Ohio Union
Heapy provided Commissioning Services for the new Ohio Union. The goal was to ensure that the systems were well designed and functioning properly prior to occupancy. As a part of the project, Heapy also confirmed that the staff had adequate training on the new systems and that documentation was available to them.
The Ohio Union is a 285,705 SF, 3-story structure with a 
construction budget of $118,000,000. The facility encompasses meeting spaces, ballrooms, food service, dining areas, staff office areas, student organization areas and student lounge areas.
This project is LEED-NC Silver Certified and was commissioned by Heapy to satisfy the requirements for LEED certification.
The project was completed in 2010.
