Dillard University Professional Schools Commissioning
Heapy Engineering provided Commissioning Services for the new 125,000 SF Professional Schools Building in New Orleans, Louisiana. The three story building includes science, mathematics and business school departments. Chilled water for the facility is provided by another source on campus. Heating water is provided from boilers located within the building.
The following systems were commissioned:
- Hot Water Boiler System (including associated pumps)
- Central Air Handling Systems for Make-Up Air purposes
- Exhaust Ventilation Systems
- Split Systems
- Automatic temperature control system
- Electrical and Lighting Controls Systems to meet LEED Energy Credit criteria
- Domestic water generation, distribution, pumping and mixing systems required to meet LEED Water Efficiency Credit criteria
- Terminal Units (Variable Air Volume Units)
- Security Systems
- CCTV Systems
- Access Controls Systems
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Fire Pump
- Emergency Generator
- System Performance Monitoring

This building is registered with the US Green Building Council as the first LEED-rated facility for Dillard University with a goal of LEED-NC Silver.
The project was completed in 2009.
