University of Cincinnati Student Rec Center
Heapy Engineering designed “state of the art” Mechanical-Electrical systems for this 350,000 SF, 7-story facility that included:
- two swimming pools
- basketball gymnasium
- racquetball courts
- multipurpose rooms
- physical fitness and weight lifting areas
- a large food service facility
- student housing (224 beds)
- a convenience store
- varsity gymnasium facilites
- administrative activity area
The Center also included a 2-story 24,000 SF Marché food service facility capable of serving up to 600 people.
Commissioning services were also provided by Heapy Engineering for this project.
This project is LEED® Certified. This project received certification under the LEED for New Construction rating system.
This project was completed in 2006 with a total construction cost of $70,119,000 and a Mechanical-Electrical construction cost of $16,722,000.
