Melink Corporate Headquarters
Heapy Engineering provided LEED Services for the new 30,000 SF Melink Corporate Headquarters. Heapy served as the LEED Program Manager for the project.
The new facility has offices, manufacturing, research and development labs, a conference center, testing areas and a number of training rooms around a common courtyard.
The new headquarters features a new geothermal, variable speed pump; a high performance envelope including the roof, walls and windows; natural lighting and passive ventilation strategies; indoor air quality controls; sub-metering of electrical loads; photo-voltaic solar power generation; net metering capability to send power back to the electrical grid; dual flush toilets and waterless urinals; recycling systems and other green features.
It was designed and constructed as a "high-performance" building using energy and conservation practices that are at the forefront of the green-building movement.
Heapy also provided Commissioning services for this project.
This project is LEED-NC Gold Certified.
