Denison University Bryant Arts Center LEED

Denison_University_Bryant_Arts_CenterHeapy Engineering provided LEED Program Management and Commissioning Services for the 10,000 SF addition and 35,000 SF renovation of Denison University Cleveland Hall.

The 105-year-old building originally housed a gymnasium and staff offices. The classically styled building has served Denison for the past three decades as the home of the studio arts. This project renovated the existing beautiful building, creating a modern studio art and art history facility inside the building's historic facade. The new facility has a state-of-the-art digital media lab, where students can incorporate technology into their experiences as artists and scholars.

The project included low-flow plumbing fixtures and light concrete paving to limit any kind of heat island effect.

This project is LEED-NC Gold Certified.

The project was completed in 2009 with a total construction cost of $14,000,000.
