Honda East Coast Hub LEED
Heapy Engineering designed the Mechanical-Electrical systems for the 530,000 SF Midwest Consolidation Center. The project was an expansion of the company’s Midwestern U.S. parts distribution operations. The new facility houses a domestic parts supplier distribution hub and procurement operations support office. The hub will replenish American Honda’s nine other distribution centers for Honda’s three product lines - automobiles, motorcycles and power equipment. It will enable Honda’s Parts Division to further enhance its timely distribution,
inventory management, deployment and logistics practices throughout the supply chain.
This project is LEED-NC Gold Certified.
The project was completed in 2007 with a Mechanical-Electrical construction cost of $7,150,000 and a total construction cost of $32,500,000.
