Setterlin Construction Headquarters LEED
Heapy Engineering provided Mechanical-Electrical Design, Commissioning, and LEED Program Management Services for the Design/Build renovation and addition for Setterlin Construction’s new headquarters building.
The renovation and addition project includes 14,000 SF of offices, conference rooms and meeting space.
The project utilized geo-thermal heating and cooling system and re-use and recycling of existing materials. The project kept the original two-story building and excavated the east side to create an entrance below the original grade. A 40-foot atrium brings light into the workspace on all levels. The project preserved the existing walls, which serve as the foundation for the third level where the mechanical systems, conference room and rooftop patio are located. Lumber for the project came from “certified” forests and Setterlin even used timbers from other construction projects as furniture for the new office.
This project is LEED-NC Gold Certified.
The project was completed in 2008 with an estimated construction cost of $1,100,000 and a Mechanical-Electrical cost of $350,000.
