Clinton Memorial Hospital Central Plant
Heapy Engineering designed the Mechanical-Electrical systems for a 125,500 SF patient tower addition serving surgery department, birthing center and two floors of in-patient rooms and ancillary treatment areas. A 25,000 SF addition provides new dietary facilities, materials management and conference facilities.The facility also contains a large full service kitchen and dining.
Renovation areas total 38,500 SF including ICU, pharmacy, rehab, radiology and human resources departments.
The original electric service was totally replaced including standby generation system and is housed in a separate 2,700 SF facility. In addition to the replacement of electric utility services and emergency generation system a new central chilled water plant was established, the steam boiler system was expanded and tied into original boiler plant for back-up capability under emergency or maintenance conditions, and a new temperature control network was installed.
This project was completed in 2003 with a total construction cost of $34,014,000 and a Mechanical-Electrical construction cost of $11,037,000.
