Thermal Imaging

Infrared thermography quickly locates thermal patterns that show the presence of insulation voids, the location of excessive air leakage in commercial/educational buildings, and abnormal heating associated with high resistance or excessive current flow in electrical equipment.

Thermography enables building owners to conserve energy, improve comfort and health, and save in the utility budget. The infrared radiation given off by a target is focused by the system optics onto a detector, which is sensitive to this invisible “heat” radiation and is then converted into a visual image. In this seemingly simple process, we are able, without contact, to see a heat image, or thermo-gram, that corresponds closely to the temperature of the target.
